Compression Fittings

Compression fittings are used in plumbing and electrical conduit systems to join small diameter tubes or thin-walled pipes used for potable water, hydraulic or pneumatic systems, and conduit applications. These fittings are composed of an outer compression nut and an inner compression ferrule ring, which is typically made, of brass or copper depending on the application. Compression Fittings do not require soldering so they are quick and easy to use. When properly tightened the ferrule is compressed between the nut and the fitting to create an effective seal.
